BREAKING NEWS:
I am now a licensed driver. All people who are a driver or plan to become a driver in the middle Tennessee area should increase their vigilance and caution on the road. Also, squirrels: if you see a green GMC Sierra coming towards you, understand that it will probably not stop and it would be in your best interest to run away.

So at this point I guess I should fill you in on the past month or so since I last blogged.
It's summer, as you're well aware of unless you live in a foreign country or under a rock, so in either of those cases, I'm telling you...it's summer here.
This summer, I've been privileged enough to be able to take a tour bus out on the road every weekend and play shows for people. I'm going to go ahead and say that that's a pretty cool way to spend summer break.
The other artists that come vary, but Emma Jacob, Ty Brown, Dan Evans, Adam Shick, and JB Rocket are some of the ones who've come so far.
Other than losing my phone literally every weekend and then finding it at the last second and being exposed to really insistent mosquitos that feel the need to bite my forehead all the time, it has been an awesome experience and so much fun.

On the 4th of July this year, I got to play the "Let Freedom Sing" annual concert at the Riverfront stage in Nashville, which was only one of my favorite shows ever. Plus, Trace Adkins headlined like 6 hours later so I could stretch the truth a tiny bit and say that I opened for him ;)
I got to sign autographs after the show and meet so many cool people...I was on cloud 9. But the sun was feeling a little petulant that day. As in, I swear it was out to get me and made me weigh the pros and cons of living in Antarctica for a minute.
Story time:
I was signing at the merch table, and about an hour after I started, I stopped mid-autograph, looked up at my manager and said, "I...I...I feel..." To which he responded, "I don't know what that means..."
But when I leaned against the table and almost passed out, he got the idea and took me under the tent where I proceeded to puke (for lack of a better term) half-way in a bag and half-way on Liberty's feet. Awesome. Here she is, working my merch tent and working hard for me, and that's how I repay her.
You're welcome for that visual, by the way.

In other news, I got to meet Emmylou Harris who is my idol...my favorite artist of all time. Even cooler, I got to meet her at the Ryman which she single-handedly saved from demolition, sooo...
You should google that for a little country music history lesson. I'm too lazy to write it here.
Speaking of lazy, I think everyone in the world is a little too lazy to read a blog this long, so now is when I say good day.
Or good morning, or goodnight, depending on where you are in the world.
Here, it's day. And also summer, incase there was any confusion.

And on that note...
I love you!

Infinite x's and o's,
Jordyn
