I'm sitting on my couch watching Ellen Degeneres, and it's 3:37 PM. Usually, I would have been out of school for exactly one hour, considering we get out at 2:37 PM. Why 2:37, you ask? Well, I've asked that question a lot too. I'll let you know when I figure it out.
Anyway, today school has been out since 11:00. Because today was the last day.
Which means, that this blog is marking the end of my sophomore year and the beginning of summer :)
:-D <---- that's what my face looks like right now.
Sophomore year was so bittersweet.
I turned 15, released an album, signed a record deal, turned 16, debuted on the Grand Ole Opry, saw myself on GAC, appeared in Country Weekly, went to the ACMs...and loved every second of all of it.
So...what exactly is the bitter part?
The sophomore classes forced me to change my bio from "straight A student" to "honors student".
Okay, so I don't have a lot to complain about.
But I'm kind of glad it's over, nonetheless. We're upperclassman now ;)
But now for the point of this blog, and yet another thing to remember about my sophomore year...
I have officially been added to the Columbia Nashville roster!
Incase you're sitting there saying, "wait, I thought she was signed to Sony?"
I'll explain.
Sony is the tree. Arista, Columbia, BNA, and RCA are its branches. All the branches are still part of the same tree, they just have different leaves. We're the leaves, by the way.
I'm a leaf right next to Miranda Lambert, Josh Thompson, Montgomery Gentry, and Joanna Smith. We're the Columbia leaves. And I am so, so, so happy to be apart of this branch :)
Alright enough with that metaphor...moving on.
The
Jordynshellhart.com online store now has t-shirts available, so go check those out! Richards and Southern did an awesome job designing them, and so far it seems like you guys like them, so keep the feedback coming. And preferably the orders, too. Haha.
Also, we just added a million new events to the schedule, so for those of you asking when I'm coming to your town, go look and perhaps you'll see on there. If not, the summer isn't filled up yet, so you never know!
Here's my little end of the year video that I've done every year since 8th grade:
I hope you all have a fantastic summer, and I'll see you soon!
Infinite x's and o's,
Jordyn
