When really really awesome things happen to my friends, I make them tell me everything in ridiculous detail, because we're constantly living vicariously through one another.
This morning at school, I got to tell them all the best story I've ever told.
Maybe you guys want to hear it???
If not...well...you don't have to read this. But I just want to be a little bit self-indulgent and tell the whole world about my magical night ;)

So. My story this morning. It went a little something like this:

Last night was most likely the greatest night of my life. And by most likely, I mean that it was definitely the greatest night of my life. It was the Sony boat party for CRS, which stands for Country Radio Seminar. That's a week in Nashville where a whole bunch of awesome radio people come to town to meet artists and various other music business-ers. This Sony boat is an annual event where all the Sony artists and like a million radio people go on a really huge boat and have a jolly old time.
This year, I got to go on the boat...because I'm signed to Sony now...which I still can't say out loud without smiling.

My manager (Rick Barker), Chuck Wicks, and I went to this little shindig together, and when we got to the boat, there was this really fancy car driving up in front of us. I thought, "My oh my, I wonder who is driving that really fancy car?" And then, Brad Paisley and his manager step out. Of course. Because that's normal. I love him...he's always super duper nice to me when I see him.
We all walked in the boat, and low and behold, it's Craig Morgan. Well, hello Mr. Craig Morgan, fancy meeting you here. Because this is normal.
We walked around and met a lot of friendly faces and I wanted to be best friends with every person I was introduced to, because they were all being nicer than I could've even hoped.
We then went upstairs (because this boat is MASSIVE) and, why, of course it's Kellie Pickler walking around wearing the most adorable jacket I've ever seen. And not only is her jacket adorable, but SHE is adorable, and I seriously think she's one of the sweetest people I've ever met in my life.
We continue walking, only to find Jake Owen and Craig Morgan chatting it up. A little further down the hall, Chuck is talking to Carrie Underwood, who is standing in front of Chris Young, who is about 20 feet away from Miranda Lambert.
Again, nothing out of the freaking ordinary.

I asked Carrie, "How did you sing at the Superbowl and not...die?" To which she responded, "Yeah it was really cool." Completely nonchalant. Because that kind of stuff is normal for someone as fantastic as Carrie Underwood.

Plus, I got to see all my favorite people from the Sony staff, who never fail to put a smile on my face. Side note: I'm really sad that Butch Waugh leaves RIGHT when I get signed :/

Then the actual show started.
Jypsi was standing next to me for that, and you know how colorful they dress? Well, they are THAT colorful in real life. So sweet. So vibrant. And I loved Lillie Mae's earrings.

Brad played first. And by played, I mean he caused every single person in the room's mouth to fall to the floor in complete and utter awe of his guitar playing, and then received a standing ovation...a 100% deserved standing ovation, by the way. Next was Kellie Pickler, again completely adorable, wearing the TALLEST heels I've ever seen in my life. They made my knees wobble just looking at them. Josh Thompson was next, and he sang a song called "Sinner" with Miranda Lambert that completely killed me. I died. Right there. Speaking of Miranda, she sang solo after him, and her new single may or may not be on my list of favorite songs ever. Carrie came out and sang a CCR song with Miranda next. As I stated on Twitter, it BLEW my MIND. These two were unbelievable together.
Brooks and Dunn came on after Carrie sang by herself, and I wanted to cry. Some of my first concerts were Brooks and Dunn concerts...I've seen them live like 5 times now. The fact that they're splitting up is just...bleh. But they were phenomenal, of course. Especially when they brought out BRYAN ADAMS. BRAYN ADAMS. In the same room as me.
How ordinary is this night? Not exciting at all. Nothing happened. Very average.

Needless to say, I couldn't even walk in a straight line when we left. I felt delirious. In a good way.
It's nights like that that make everything feel like it's in a movie I'm watching. I kept expecting to see a talking dog or a sparkling vampire on the way home.

I wanted to tell you that story, not only because it's an awesome story, but because I want you to come along with me EVERY step of the way. Last night felt like a cool step to me. So I hope this blog was the next best thing to actually having been there ;)
If we all cross our fingers enough, maybe I'll get to play there sometime.

Imagine what THAT blog would be like...

Probably just normal. Like last night.

Infinite x's and o's,
Jordyn

PS - Live webchat Sunday at 7PM/EST!!! I can't even express to you how much I hope you'll stop by! I don't really know what to expect, what with it being my first one and all...but I think it's going to be fun :)
