:)
It's a snow day tomorrow at school...it hasn't even started snowing. But we're supposed to get a whole 2-4 inches, so everyone run to Walmart and stock up on supplies! Looks like we're going to be snowed in for a while!
Yes, I'm being sarcastic. No, I'm not complaining. By the end of the week, I'm praying for a snow day...even in the summer. (Because all the Tennessee administrators need is to hear the word "snow" and school will probably be canceled.)
Anyhoo, as you may already know, I had the privilege of playing a show at the Mall of America in Minnesota last week, and I had the most amazing time. I got to hang out with a group of kids that are a part of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which is an incredible foundation that grants wishes to kids with life-threatening medical conditions. The wishes range from a new bike to a trip to China. Whatever they want. That's beautiful.
Being around the people that are responsible for brightening these kids' lives and being around the kids who are stronger than I could ever hope to be was one of the most wonderful things I've ever been able to do.
It made life even more colorful. And my life is really colorful.
That trip reminded me yet again of all the blessings I have in my life. Like you. Reading this right now. Definitely a blessing.
And all of you on Twitter...you're beautiful. All of the #GetOnEllen tweets you guys have been sending to Ellen Degeneres are SO appreciated! I love that you would think of me for that. Especially because Ellen is quite possibly my favorite human being on the planet. Ha.
Alright, so now for the updates:
We're working on putting up the guitar tabs you all have been asking for, and some of them are already floating around on the internet, so go check those out if you're interested.
Also, some of you may have seen the Sony press release recently :)
(if not, the link is:
And you may have also seen the other articles some of the different websites have been doing. So I wanted to let you know that some of those other websites misread a few of the facts from the Sony release, so just keep in mind that if something they say contradicts what we've said or you already know...you're right ;)
For instance, I did not record "In A Room" in my manager's bedroom. Because that's just weird. Haha. I recorded it in his office...which is a room. But not his bedroom.
Little things like that --- just be aware!
Lots of new things in the works, lots of exciting things that I can't wait to tell you more about...so keep checking back!
I hope you all have had a spectacular week!
And to all you students in normal states, enjoy your non-snow day ;) HA. HA. HA. Just kidding. I will be thoroughly enjoying my snow day.
Infinite x's and o's,
Jordyn
