I'm holding my album in my hands right now. Actually I'm not, because I'm typing. But it's sitting next to me.
Because I bought it today...from Best Buy. Like, took it off the shelf and had the cashier swipe it.
That's kind of surreal, the moment you buy your first album.
Especially because it was one away from John Mayer, who I also bought, by the way.
A bunch of my friends and co-workers came to buy it with me, and one of them brought me a cake. A cake, to Best Buy. Haha. It says, "Congratulations Jordyn!" and it's so precious.
Plus, right before we went to buy it, I got to see myself on TV for the first time! GAC - On the Streets! All week long. I was so excited. So was my dog.
For the first time today, I had so many twitter responses that I couldn't respond to all of them. That was awesome.
People have been sending me pictures of them with the album, and I've loved that...if you take any, send them to me! I'd love to see them!
Also, regarding the Thank You section of the album, I just wanted to say that it was written and sent to the label a fair amount of time ago...there are people left off of it that have been SO amazing to me recently, created fan sites, and been so involved, so I wanted to apologize to those of you who know you should be on it! I love you!
Also, we completely deprived Izzie and Max of their credit for the dog barking in "Boomerang"! They're really mad at us, so if you all could send them some love, that would be greatly appreciated. You know how it is when your feelings get hurt :/
Today was the best day, for so many reasons, and I just want to say how incredibly grateful I am for everything that has happened. Not just today. Just everything.
My beautiful friends at school are being unbelievably supportive. I walked to my locker and they all yelled, "Happy CD Day Jordyn!"
Teachers at school went and bought my album today. I told that to my creative director at Sony and he was like, "Your bragging rights: teachers buy my album. Only you can say that."
And my phenomenal team has put all of this together...I'm literally watching my dreams come true, and I'm speechless that I am lucky enough.
Lucky enough to be able to sit down at the piano and write a song. Enough to have such amazing people around me all the time. Lucky enough to be able to walk into Best Buy and buy an album that I had the most incredible time creating.
And lucky enough to have people like you read what I have to say.
Life is good.
